Prof. Francesco Di Ciommo (Ph.D.)

Prof. Francesco Di Ciommo is Full Professor of Private Law at the LUISS “Guido Carli” University of Rome, after being Associated Professor and Researcher at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. Graduated in Law at LUISS, Ph.D. in Civil Law at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, he has been Visiting Researcher at the George Washington University and the Harvard Law School. At LUISS, he is Senior Research Fellow at the Law & Economics LAB, he is Scientific Director of the Master in Corporate Legal Affairs, and he teaches Corporate Law at the Business School. He is author of monographs and commented codes, as well as hundreads of journal articles and notes published in the most prominent Italian legal journals.

Prof. Di Ciommo is Managing Director of the law firm Di Ciommo & Partners. He has extensive experience, both in litigation and consultancy, in particular in the administrative, banking, finance, and health sectors. He has been member of boards, both of statutory auditors and directors, of leading Italian companies, as well as independent member of the board of directors of two Italian banks from 2012 to 2016. Since 2020 he has been Chairman of Previndai, pension fund representing 82,000 industrial executives and managing assets for more than 12 billion euros.
